How 100 Faithful Friends Works

  • Commit to being a Member by completing a Commitment Form.
  • Each member commits to donating $100 per meeting ($400 per year).
  • The donations will be given to local charities/non-profits/worthy causes, or local chapters of larger charities serving our local communities.
  • Members who wish to submit a charity for consideration must be ready to make a five-minute presentation at the meeting to the Members. Three charity submissions will be randomly drawn at the meeting of which the presenters will then have time to make their five-minute presentation. If there is an immediate/emergency need at the time of the meeting, it may be presented as one of the choices.
  • Only Members who have signed a Commitment Form and are current on their contributions may submit a charity for consideration.
  • Only Members who are current in their contributions are eligible to vote at meetings.  Members may not vote unless they are in attendance at the meeting. There is no voting by proxy.
  • Three Member names who would like to nominate an organization will be drawn from a box. If a Member makes a presentation and their nomination is not chosen, they will still be eligible to put their name in the drawing at the next meeting. If a Member’s charity is chosen, that organization is not eligible to win for one year.
  • The three randomly picked charities will be presented at the meeting by the nominating Member for 5 minutes. A 3 minute Q&A session will take place immediately following each presentation and directly preceding Member voting. All Q&A will be answered by the presenting Member only.
  • For tax purposes, all checks will be made out to the chosen organization. If you unable to attend, give your check to a Member to deliver on your behalf. Or, watch your email the following day for an announcement.
  • The benefitting organization must agree to NOT use the donors’ names for future solicitations or give the information out to the public. If the charity/non-profits/worthy cause does not adhere to this condition, they will be removed from any future consideration.  The organization is also required to send a representative to the next following meeting to explain to the Membership how the funds have been used.
  • Membership to 100 Faithful Friends is open to everyone.  The more people we gather, the greater the impact within our community.
  • All charities/non-profits/worthy causes are eligible to be nominated by Members.
  • Each Member will vote by ballot – the majority rules.  Even if your choice does not win, all Members are responsible for writing a check to the winning charity.
  • In the case of a two-way tie the Membership will be provided with the names of the two charities and a second vote will be taken.  If the second vote results in another tie then we will randomly pick one of the two charities name out of a box.  In the case of a three-way tie we will randomly pick one of the three names out of a box.
